The Copy line belongs in the left margin of the page. It is placed two lines down from the last enclosure line (Encl.) or the last copy line, whichever is the most recent entry. In other words, if there are enclosures or prior copy notations, you position the Copy line two lines below the final one listed. This keeps distribution information neatly separated from the main text and aligned for quick scanning. Center of the page, the right margin, or the front page aren’t used for this type of note.
